Save the Dates – 2016 Annual Conference!

May 3-5, 2016 at the Double Tree Hotel in South Portland, Maine.

Conference Specifics:

We have an extremely impressive lineup slated for this year’s conference! We will be having one general session for each of the three days, stepping away from the breakout sessions of the past. As in previous years, the cost of the conference has remained at $200 for all three days including lunch and breaks. However, you are welcome to attend particular days at lowered prices (below).

Day 1 ($100)

Gordon Graham returns to Maine after receiving rave reviews in 2014.
This year his talk is on:

Day 2 ($75)

Nathan Lee from the Denise Amber Lee Foundation will tie together the elements of the Denise Amber Lee tragedy in a positive and uplifting presentation that not only covers the obvious failures that occurred that day, but some in-depth concepts such as leadership, hiring, teamwork, training, and the encouragement of employees.

Day 3 ($75)

Tracy Eldridge from the Public Safety Training Group has been asked back to discuss

Her presentations will break up the awards day into a morning and afternoon session that you won’t want to miss.

The Maine NENA Chapter is again sponsoring four (4) scholarships to our annual conference. One winner will be named per Region. This scholarship provides overnight lodging on May 4, 2016 along with the Conference Registration for May 4th & 5th. This is being offered to a currently employed full-time Dispatcher/Call-Taker who hasn’t had the opportunity to attend a prior Maine NENA Conference. All applications must be submitted to:

Finally, please remember to nominate those in your Agency who go above and beyond the call of duty. Nominations for Silent Hero, Stork Award, Supervisor and Director of the Year, along with the Critical Incident of the Year should also be sent to Brodie Hinckley (see contact info above) no later than March 1, 2016.
